We have a jam packed summer starting tomorrow morning! All of the kids go to camp this June on two different weeks. We also have drama camp for Natalie and Ridge in June and Emily goes to Wisconsin on Wednesday with her CMPS class at school to compete in international competition! Go Emily! The littles will be attending Mother's Day Out this summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This will be Rhett's first MDO experience so to say I'm nervous (and excited!!) is an understatement. I think it will be really good for him! And Emily is also in a summer volleyball league.
Maybe in July we can breathe? Maybe? Can you hear my voice quivering?
But I just love summertime and can't wait to get it started today when the kids get home from school!
So on to the comparison pictures of the first day of school in August 2009 to today, June 4, 2010.
Little Miss Adiah on her first day of preschool in August 2009
Today....And because I needed you to see how difficult it was to get her to stand still I give to you takes 2,3,4, and 5!!!
I think she was channeling her inner chicken.
Emily on day 1 of her 7th grade year.
And today....my oh my. Isn't she beautiful? I can't believe she is going to be 13 in two weeks. I don't want to talk about it, ok? Ok.
Mr. Ridge on his first day in August 2009
And today! I do believe his feet have grown the most!!
And Natalie....she was very disturbed about how she wore her hair the first day of school in August. She looked these pictures up last week in preparation for this post. So this morning she asked me to curl her hair!
My oh my again! How can she be finished with elementary school already? How is it that I will now have 2 middle schoolers? I don't want to talk about it, ok? You can't make me.
And here's my gang all together this morning! For some reason I didn't take a group picture on the first day of school? Boo on me!
And because Brian can't stand to be left out here is one with the Daddy in it. Can you find him?

I saw him right off. My DH would totally do that LOL!
I didn't get first day pics or last day this year. :( Boo on me. I did get a lot of school pics though since we were at home.
I cracked up reading Brian's post on the horses. You know DH is like that too: super smart, engineering degree and all, but he is as plain talking as the day is long. He'd not see a thing wrong with Brian's wording in the post!
I'm still waiting for that post ;)
