A giveaway!!

As many of you know, last March when we arrived home with Adiah, we struggled alot! Like I've said many times before, I was so happy to finally have her with us but finding what our new normal looked like and helping her to cope with the loss of her old life and the beginning of her new life was very tiring. Physically, emotionally, spiritually. All of it. But as you know we've come a long way and she is BLOSSOMING into a sweet and confident child. Anyway, back to when we returned. Adiah didn't sleep all that much. And when she did it was very fit full. As if she was remembering something awful as she fell asleep. It was difficult to watch as her mommy. I remember one night as I was holding her on the floor of her room and rocking back and forth as she cried and I cried that I grabbed this CD and began to play it. I bought this CD about a year before while waiting for Adiah to come home. I fell in love with it that night. The worship songs were very healing to me and seemed to calm Adiah down. I recognized some of the voices on the CD but didn't really take the time to see who everyone else was. But I listened to that album daily with Adiah. A couple of months later I did look to see who the artists were who contributed on the album. And one of those ladies was Bethany Dillon. I knew her name and knew some of her other songs but didn't realize that is who sang a couple of those songs. Anyway....fast forward to today. The Lord has allowed me to cross paths with this beautiful person. She has become my friend and is one of the most sincere, sweet, genuine people I know. To think that the Lord would give me the gift of her friendship...this person who was instrumental in helping me through a tough time without even knowing it...well, its a blessing. Her new album came out on September 8th and it is so good! Its called Stop and Listen. I really like all of the songs but my favorite I think is Deliver Me. Powerful! Soooooooooooo...........all of this to say..............my sweet friend has given me a few albums to give away to my sweet bloggy friends! I'm giving away 5 copies of her new album!! Just leave a comment and you are automatically entered. I'm not even sure I have 5 people who comment on here but if I get more than 5 comments then I'll do the random draw thing. Since its a Friday night and some people might be away from the computer for the weekend I'll do the drawing on Tues morning. That's Sept 22. The first day of fall!! If you don't happen to get one in this give away I'm telling you to RUN (don't walk) and buy this album!! You won't regret it!

P.S. Funny Adiah story. Adiah can't say Beth. She calls her Bass. Bass loves it. When I was playing the new album for my kids in the car I would turn it down to tell them something and Adiah would say "Up Bass. More Bass!!!".

We spend a LOT of time in the car, and Kylie is memorizing so many worship songs. I think something by Bethany Dillon would be a great addition to her growing repertoire!
(Oh, and isn't it wonderful now being on the other side of the fence and seeing how far we've come with our children?)

Put me in the drawings - for my neighbor from FB (that's Farmers Branch) Janiece. Imagine this, I went to visit her today - she had called me to say cells were regrowing again after a tumor was removed from her brain in April. We talked about so many things, and faith, and about listening to meditative songs...and giving CD's as a meaningful gift to minister to others...pick Janiece.

Amy, you, Brian. Sara, Matt and the kids have done a Wonderful Job giving little Adiah and Hannah a better lease on life.
I read your both of your blogs with tears of joy knowing that Adiah and Hannah and soon to be Rhett are/will be in a better place.

Amy, you are a blessing! i would love to be included in your drawing. Maybe, this CD will bring me the peace you found. I'm in the same place youe were in not so long ago. It kills your heart to watch your children struggle in a pain you can only imagine.

I am truly blessed to have a friend in you. Thank You! Hugs!!

Amy,
What a fun idea (the giveaway. I saw your comment on Facebook. I love Bethany Dillon. She did a concert at our Church (Calvary Chapel, Ft Laderdale) a couple of years ago. I just got caught up with your blogs and am so thrilled for you and your expanding family. I'll be keeping you and Rhett in prayer.

Love,
Ailie
