Stinky problem

You know you are a home owner when you pull up to your house and see this....

What is it you ask? Oh, its just a septic system truck sucking out the contents of our septic tank. What else would you think it is???

For the last 2 months our house has smelled like the inside of our septic tank in the early morning hours and in the late evening hours of the day. Its not good ya'll. We have plumbers involved and we have the septic people involved. We're probably about to have carpenters involved because its probably going to require ripping out a wall and fixing something. I won't go into it all here. But at this point we just have to get it fixed because I can't stand waking up to that smell and not being able to have people over!! Its embarrassing!! But the point of this post was to say this.... Wouldn't you hate it if your job were to do THIS...

It stinks so bad outside right now!!!! I feel so sorry for them! And I didn't want them to think I was crazy or making fun of them by going outside to take their picture so I took it from the window. If you have a septic system then thank your septic dude. And maybe give him some potpourri as a Christmas present.

***Nevermind. With the check I just wrote to them they can buy their own potpourri!! But I'll still thank them!***

That's too funny! My smell seems to be getting better. That would be great, right? Cuz I don't want to write one of those checks.

I so hope things improve soon! Now I'm even happier to have city sewer.

Seen "Christmas Vacation"? Man, it would be a really funny quote if you have. Randy, on the sidewalk in the wee hours of the night, in a bathrobe, emptying his RV's potty. He says a line that is perfect for this moment yet inappropriate for your blog. :) Oh man good times.

Glad you are getting the problem taken care of, and also glad that there are folks out there who will do that job! A few summers ago I volunteered to cook at a camp and had the same thoughts about the guys who came to clean the Port-A-Johns...
