Last Day of School!!

Today is the kids last day of school. I was thinking this morning about how much has happened this past school year and it brought me to tears. This year was Emily's very last year of elementary school, we found out about Adiah and went and got her, and we bought a house and we're moving next week!! We've had an awesome school year this year and couldn't be more thankful for their wonderful teachers! We will miss this school alot next year. I attended the 5th grade awards ceremony this morning. Again, I left there crying. They began the ceremony reading "Oh, the places you will go!" by Dr. Seuss. And then began handing out the awards. As I sat there and watched my "baby" girl go up and receive her awards I couldn't help wondering if the next 7 years will fly by like these last ones have. Emily, you are a true joy to parent! You are kind, sensitive, smart, funny, ambitious, creative, loving...I could go on and on. I absolutely CAN NOT believe that you will be entering middle school next year! I have no worries that you will do well in school and make lots of friends. One of the things that makes you so special is that you care so much about others and how you can make them feel better. Jesus flows out of you! Congratulations on finishing elementary school! Oh, the places you will go!!!

I'm so proud of all of my kids! They did so good this year in school! I think we'll go out and celebrate tonight after Natalie's last gymnastics practice at her current gym! Sadness all over the place today!!

* I just picked them up and Natalie was already blubbering and having the shaky cry voice.
** I picked them up from school at 1pm. Its now 1:47 and I've already had to send two of them to their room. Good times!!

First day of school....

and last day of school. Look at how much Emily has changed!!!

Best wishes on your move.
You and your family will always have a place in my heart.

I can't believe how much Emily has changed from those 2 pictures! She has definately grown up a lot in this school year! 5th grade did a lot for her! And Ridgedon has more teeth! Ha!

I love that first day picture of Natalie. Was she excited about school or what?! I love what you wrote about Emily. I can't believe she's going to middle school either and yet I can. She's so mature! Can't wait for you guys to get here next week!!!

Oh...what a GREAT looking bunch yall have! And I am sure before you know it, Miss Adiah will be heading to Kindergarten! AHHHH! Time is flying! I can't believe our Jake is already 2, and it seems like he was just born, so I can only imagine how fast time really starts to move. Anyhow, precious kids. Sure hope to see your family soon. We love yall.
